Sketch Saturday #170 Joy with Fluffy Stuff...

Happy Saturday peoples!!
Hope you are all okay?

its time for another YUMMY Sketch Saturday Sketch.... YAY!!
Heres my DT card...

I've used some new stash for this... the super cute Gorjuss stamp, which I got from Quixotic Paperie...
I've stamped her with Rich Cocoa ink, instead of black for a bit of a change...
and coloured with promarkers...
The papers are MME, and Prima.

Can you see the fluffy snow on the tree and the 'ground'???
I was lucky enough to win a £10 Joanna Sheen voucher a couple of weeks ago at the Glitter Geeks challenge
and I bought a snow maker pen... OMG how fun is it watching it puff up!!?
I think I went over the top a bit with it, but I like the effect...
I also bought the scattered text stamp which I've used for the circle background... its by creative expressions.
heres a side view... you can see the 'snow' a bit better I think...

The 'Joy' is alphabet stickers from a crate paper kit
I've cut the lace border with a martha stewart punch....
and to finish added my 'usuals' don't need to say it anymore...lol!

Hope you like??

We are sponsored this week by the Craft Barn

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Samuel Taylors - Christmas with a rubber stamp
Wags and Whiskers - Outdoor Fun
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting today!!

Boy oh boy...

Evenin' all....
I do hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!
The weather has been positively glorious here today... hope everyone else is having some sunshine too!?

its my turn to share some inspiration over on the Simply Sassy blog today, and I thought we'd have something different....

a BOY'S card..

 I've used No 1 fan
just look at his cheeky little face!! I LOVE him!!

Did you know he can come and live with you for just £4.29!!!
then you can pinch his little cheeks as much as you like!!

I've coloured him with promarkers and pencils
The papers are all MME, mostly from the same pad, which is unlike me!
The happy birthday sentiment is from a cuddly buddly set, which the lovely Jane bought me
(Thanks Jane!!... yep she is too generous!!)
and the alphabet stickers are crate paper from the orbit collection...

The arrow and the bracket are from the greeting farm spotlight kit... LOL!!! you are so sick of me saying that arent you!!???
I sat this card on my desk last night, and I couldn't help feeling there was just a little bit of something missing....
SO I just cut the little tabs at the top and bottom, and it really made a difference!!
other than a bit of doodling, and the enamel accents... thats about it...

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...
A spoonful of sugar - Happy Birthday
Cards for men - Anything goes
Stamps r us - Anything goes

Timeless Tickled Pink Anniversary card...

Hello all!!

Hope you've had a lovely weekend??? hasn't been too bad here weatherwise... although today its a bit sticky... bit too warm in my craft room :(

Today I'm sharing my Hubby's Anniversary card....
Its a month away yet... but I had an idea so went with it while I was inspired...

I love these Tickled Pink Victorian Steampunk images SO much... and thought these 2 were perfect together... I merged them (only a tiny bit) in my graphics program, and enlarged them so they would be the focal point of my card...
You can grab Evie and Luca HERE
I've coloured them with promarkers and pencils...
The Stripy paper is MME and the Blue paper is Prima...
I stamped the border on the blue panel with the stempelglede grunge scroll.
The clock was a freebie DIGI
(at the moment I'm struggling to find the link of where I got it... I will update as soon as I can)
I printed it onto Kraft and attached some black chain to it (this was off an old top!!, I'm all for recycling!)
The heart is handcut from red cardstock, and glazed...
I added a flower to Evies hair... a hand written sentiment, and some doodling and enamel accents....

and thats it!!

I've made this card with the following challenges in mind....

Tickled Pink - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Masculine card
Fabulous Fridays - Clocks and Timepieces

Sketch Saturday Sweetness!

Well Hello there! Thanks for visiting me today!!

I hope you are all well, and have a lovely weekend planned??
Nothing planned here, Hubby has been at work virtually non stop over the summer hols, and it looks like he will be busy for at least the next week..... sigh!!

Anyway... onwards with the show...
We all know what Saturday means don't we...
YEP, another FABBY Sketch Saturday Sketch...

I'll be honest, when I looked at this weeks, I thought I was going to struggle, I'm not usually too good at working with 'wonky' sketches... LOL!! but this came together fairly easily...

The Gorgeous 'Some Odd Girl' Stamp was a Birthday pressie from the gorgeous Jane!!
 (Thanks again Jane!! MWAH!)
You would not believe the bad luck I've had with this stamp... I stamped her out a couple of weeks ago, along with others on the same paper, was colouring another image up, and dropped a purple promarker right on her face!!! Then last week stamped her again, and ended up dropping the paper on the floor where the dog had just come in with muddy paws!!
I thought she was just determined she wasn't going on a card!!
Third time lucky though...phew!!
I created a background paper using Kraft card, which I stamped random cupcake images on...
(The cupcake stamp came in a set with the 'you're so sweet' sentiment which Jane bought me for last years Birthday!!! Thanks again Jane!!! I think it was elzybells)
I coloured all the little cupcakes with pencils, and added a few dots of enamel accents...
The other papers are MME from various collections...
except for the black and white dotty strips, which were again made using one of the accessories from the greeting farm spotlight kit.
I stamped another cupcake, coloured with promarkers, and added a little heart on top!
The 'Thanks' sentiment is from CC designs (Amy R summer set)

To finish I added some flowers from my stash, some doodling, and some more enamel accents...

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges....
Simon Says Stamp - Food and Drink
Creative stamp Friends - Create your own background
Hooked on crafts - Sweet treats
The Crafty Pad - Cute and Girly

Thanks so much for visiting!!

A Sassy Hello! And A Simple Cloud Tutorial...

Good Morning all!!How goes it?

Did you see I'd posted a tutorial over on the Simply Sassy blog this morning?

Its on how I create a chalked cloud backgound...
Now I have to say there are MUCH better ones out there, but I wanted to show an EASY version...

Heres a card I've made using the Chalked clouds...

The GORGEOUS Simply Sassy stamp is Hippie Chick
I've coloured her with my usual promarkers and pencils...
The papers are all sorts... MME, Bo Bunny, Echo park, Prima...
I've tried to make it look like she is holding a flower... this was a bit fiddly, I had to pierce holes through the image... think I might have pulled it off though...

I've created some 'grass' for her to sit on with my promarkers... and then doodled 3 flower stems...
I punched some butterflies... and added some doodling and enamel accents....

And that's about it!....

I followed the sketch over at - Crafting Lifes Pieces

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Just Saying Hi
The Stamp Man - Anything goes (summer colours)
My Mum's Craft Shop - Summer
Flutterby - punches/diecuts

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments and emails you've been sending me!!
I do kind of feel like I've found my mojo at long last!! remember when I was only posting on here once a week!?!?

I'll be back Saturday with my Sketch Saturday card!!

Have a groovy day....All white?

 Two posts in one day???
I know!! I've shocked myself!
Please scroll down for my Simply Sassy Spotlight card...
I was going to save this for tomorrow, but its been made with challenges in mind and I'm so near to the deadline on one of them!!

So... Simon Says Stamp are looking for all white cards... SO not in my comfort zone, but I had to give it a go...

Heres my card... photo is not the best, its difficult enough to capture white cards anyway, but because I've added loads of sparkle, it was SO much worse!!

I have to say, I quite like this card...(it looks SO much better IRL)

The GORGEOUS Stamp is Friday from the Greeting Farm (I got her from Quixotic Paperie)
Isn't she FABULOUS???
I've coloured her with promarkers and pencils...
I created the middle panel with a stamp from the greeting farm spotlight set, and heat embossed it with starlight embossing powder... you can't see the shimmer too well in the photo, but it looks SO cool!
I haven't heat embossed for YEARS, and I forgot how exciting it is watching the powder change...
yeah, I need to get out more!

The sentiment is from CC designs Amy R summer sentiments set...
I added a bit of enamel... cos I just couldn't leave the card as it was!
and added some extra glitter ..... here's a close up...

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges...

Crafters Companion - Glitter and Glitz
Sir Stampalot - Whatever you fancy
Creative stamp friends - Create your own background

It's my turn in the Simply Sassy Spotlight...

Good Morning peoples!!
Blimey its all go on here at the moment eh?
Hope you are not getting fed up with me yet??

Well, today I have some SUPER exciting news... the Simply Sassy Spotlight is shining on little ole me!!
So pop over to see the cards Maria has picked out to show you (arrggghhhh embarrasing!)

As part of the spotlight procedure (sounds a bit medical!)
I had to create a new Sassy card... and HERE it is my friends....

The butterfly came first on this one... I was messing about stamping onto acetate... and I stamped the spotty butterfly from the greeting farm spotlight kit onto it...
(are you sick of seeing me use this kit?... truthfully I don't have a huge amount of stash, so I do tend to use the same stuff over and over, AND theres SO much in it, and I love it...so there!)
The butterfly body is just a pin, with paper wrapped around it, and 2 bits of wire...simples!!

After I made it, I realised how well it would go with the blue spotty paper from the Prima - Moulin Rouge set... so I ran with that....

The GORGEOUS stamp is Butterfly Girl by Simply Sassy... I LOVE her... just look at the expression on her face!! SO adorable!
I coloured her to match the floral paper....
I created the spotty tabs at the bottom, using one of the border strip stamps from the....sigh.....greeting farm spotlight set.... I just stamped it a few times, and then cut tabs from it...
The sentiment stamp is cats life press which you can get from Crafty Emmas Store
I created the cloud background using chalks.... more about this later in the week ;)

doodling (of course) and enamel (of course) and I'm done!

I followed Maria's Sketch over at the Sugar Bowl.... AGAIN!! (and rotated it... again!)

And I'd also like to enter the following challenges...

Crafty Pad - Cute and girly
CES - Mix and match papers
Card Making Mama's - Birthday cards

Thanks for visiting!!
and thanks Maria, for spotlighting me!!

My little book of important people...

Howdy doody!
Something a bit different today...
an altered address book!!

The whole idea of this actually came from the stamp.... YEP, another one that I HAD to have, but then wasn't sure how to use... She actually has a book, and some scissors on the stamp, but I cut them off (it didnt hurt... honest!)
SO, I kept thinking.... book, and people... and eventually.... THIS happened...
I took the 'book' idea and cut a load of strips from an old book...
(being careful to omit any swear words... titter!)
stuck them all over the front of an existing address book I had...
I added a couple of bits of fabric at the opening...
The super gorgeous stamp is obviously one of the new gorjuss girls... I got her from Bunny Zoes
She's coloured with promarkers....
NOW the title....
I had the INGENIUS idea of trying to find all the words I wanted, within the same book I used to cover the front... Do you know how long it takes to find the word 'BOOK' inside a book??? you'd think it would be easy... right? NOPE!!! suggestion.... don't bother....LOL!!!
anyway, I got there in the end!
I added a strip of Kraft up the edge, cut with a binder punch, and plopped on some ranger enamel accents in black.
Tied some ribbon around the end, and added a star and key charm...
et voila!
Hope you like it, I have to say it was so much fun to make, and looks much better than it did before!!
I think I've got the urge to alter EVERYTHING now....
;)
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges...

Allsorts - Anything but a card
Just us girls - Alter a notebook
Papercutz - turquoise, red, white and black
Crafty purple frog - Anything but a card
7kids college fund - Anything but a card

Thanks for visiting today!!!

Good Afternoon lovely people!!
The sun is out here!!! YAY!! its about time!

I'm not going to waste your time with waffle today... its all about the cardage...
This is another little card...
I've used the beautiful skater girl from Simply Sassy...
She's been coloured with promarkers
The papers are Echo park - Victoria Gardens and Prima - Moulin Rouge I also cut a butterfly from some Laura Ashley paper I had stashed from YEARS ago!
I stamped a flourish using a Stempelglede grunge scroll stamp, and cut it into a border...
The postage stamp sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps...
I made the flowers myself... one from some ribbon and a button and the other using rolled canvas and a dewdrop...
to finish, some doodling, and some enamel accents...

I've made this for the following challenges
I've followed Marias fabulous sketch over at the Sugar Bowl... (I rotated it)

Papertake are asking for handmade flowers
CES have a mix and match paper theme

Sketch Saturday #168 Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

Happy Saturday peoples!!!
Hope you are all well??

I had an unplanned lie in this morning! seriously... I didnt crawl out of bed until 9:45!! thats SO not like me!
still, I did go to bed with the headache of the century, so maybe that had something to do with it!

And I know you are wondering, cos you're that sort of bunch... yes I STILL have said headache... ouch!
anyway, I'm behind with everything this morning, so I'd better get on with it!

Jo has designed another fabulous sketch for us over at Sketch Saturday...
LOVED it Jo...thanks!!

And here's what I did with it...

Meet Steampunk Lilith from Tickled Pink stamps!
God, I LOVE her!!...
Have you ever bought a stamp because you can't NOT buy it, and then can't for the life of you think how you'll use it!!
this was THAT stamp! I knew I HAD to have her, cos she's just so GORGEOUS!! I love her 'don't mess with me' attitude...it took me a while to think up a way of using her though!
Anyway...my brain must have been working overtime yesterday, cos this just sort of came to me in a lightbulb moment!
(okay, I think we have just explained the headache!)

Bit different for me again this one...
I've coloured Lilith with my promarkers...
I had to colour her hair red... cos I secretly want to be her!!
The OH SO YUMMY papers are Prima - Moulin Rouge...
I have to say, I wasn't sure about these papers before I got them... they are SO well priced for the amount you get, so I figured they probably wouldn't be any good... BUT I am SO glad I tried them... they are really good quality, and such gorgeous designs.....
I think I might have to get more!! I got them from Quixotic Paperie
I made the Yo-yo flower using some old trouser fabric, and added an old button from my old clothes stash!
The metal charms are actually suns, but I think they look like cogs!
got them off ebay...
I created the border at the top using a stempelglede grunge scroll stamp  and just roughly cut around the swirls on one side...
to finish I just added a sentiment, and some enamel accents!!... (can you tell I love these at the moment??)

Thats about it...

we are sponsored over at Sketch Saturday by Simon Says Stamp...
and theres a fab $25 voucher up for grabs...

Thanks for visiting today!! have a wonderful weekend!

Just a little note...

Hello peoples...
hope you are having a lovely week so far?

I've been busy working on a few projects, and have a few things half made... hope to be able to share them soon :)

Today though, I'm sharing a Simply Sassy Card... its my first time posting on the Simply Sassy blog today...
is it silly to be so nervous about it?
I feel like its a really big deal, and I'm paranoid that I'm not creating stuff that's good enough...
still can't get my head round getting picked!

Anyway, heres my card...

I've used the oh so sweet  'Lost In Music'
You can grab her HERE at Funky Kits

I first created a little 'hill' for her to sit on, by attaching a little bit of paper to a background of Kraft card.
Then stamped the image directly onto this. I stamped a second image onto white cardstock and coloured her with Promarkers, cut her out, and attached her over the original image...
(by doing this I didn't have to cut out any fiddly bits, like certain sections of her hair,
and the headphone cables)

I doodled some flower stems on the 'hill' and added some little paper flowers, and gave her a little bow for her hair, which I made using a tiny scrap of fabric, and a tiny heart button.

The papers are a bit of a mix... the musical note paper is Echo Park -Victoria Gardens
The pink flower paper is MME
Houndstooth paper from Pink Paisley
And I'm not sure of the others, they were from my scrap drawer.
Main background is Kraft.

I doodled the 'note' on pink gingham paper, and hand cut.
The sentiment stamp is from ladybug and friends

To finish, I've added a few drops of ranger enamel accents in black and white, and doodled around the edges with a black fineliner.

And that's about it!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...

City Crafter - do-ya doodle? (Yes I do... lots lol!)
Kenny K Anything Goes (summer fun)
Sentimental Sundays - flowers plus sentiment
Allsorts - Red

Thanks for stopping by... oh and pop over to the Simply Sassy blog later to see my first post!!
nothing you haven't seen here, but its more exciting seeing it there...lol!

My Tickled Pink Feathered Friend...

GOOOOOOOD Afternoon!!!
Okay, so if you've read the post title, you probably expected a bird somewhere right?
You've scrolled down, had a gander at my card, and spotted a bunny...
If you are a smart cookie, you'll have realised that bunnys don't have feathers,
and are assuming I've lost my marbles.... right?

ahhhhhh... look closer my friend...
of course I'm refering to the feather in the gorgeous Lil Ivy's top hat!!
now, said feather was not meant to be there... I sneeked it in....
and why? because this weeks challenge over at Tickled Pink is add a feather!!!

Now, I didn't have an actual feather anywhere in my stash... and believe me I CHECKED!!
Hubby is working a million hours overtime this week, so no chance of crafty shopping! and I'm too impatient to wait for an online order to be delivered...
(I did for a fleeting moment think about the river, and swans... but we don't need to dwell on that)
SOOOO I doodled a 'sort of' feather and stuck it to her top hat!!
 BINGO!!
I'm not sure if this is cheating, but I'm going to enter it anyway.... shhhhh, they might not notice!

I decided to try a shaped card again... but this time I've gone for loads of different size nestie labels
(truth be known, I've run out of square card blanks...lol!)

I've coloured Ivy with my promarkers and pencils...
The papers are allsorts...
'My Friend' sentiment is from the greeting farm spotlight set...
everything else from stash
(yeah, I'm too lazy to list it all!)

and naturally, edge doodling to finish...

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges...

Crazy 4 Challenges - shaped card
Fuzzy Wuzzy - Shaped card (+animal)
Glitter geeks - Furry or feathered friend
Stampin' for the weekend - spots and dots
MAWTT - Don't be square

Thanks for stopping by today!!

I've coloured her with promarkers and pencils...
The papers are Echo Park Victoria Gardens and a few odd scraps...
The mesh fabric was from my scrap clothes bag...
I've cut a frame and some swirls from Kraft using a Marianne creatables die...
Flowers are from my stash... and doodles are from my own fair hand ;)

This card isn't as colourful as you are used to from me... somehow I didnt think too much colour worked with the image... and I've had these yummy papers sitting on my desk looking at me for well over a week now :)

'This Ones For You' Shaped Scrap Card...

Yooooo hoooooo!!
Its me again!!
I've actually been getting more time to craft than I thought I would...the trick is, getting up early!!
My Son doesn't drag himself out of bed before about 9:30, so I just make sure to grab a couple of hours in my craft room first thing! simples...

Theres a couple of challenges out there at the moment for shaped cards, and I've been meaning to join in all week, but couldn't decide on a shape! LOL!
Here's what I finally ended up with....
This card was actually created around the button... I was messing about last night with the Ranger enamel accents I bought with my winnings over at Simon Says... and I added a bit of a pattern to a plain red button...
Then I found the perfect matching stripy red fabric in my bag of fabric scraps, I think this was a pocket lining from some shorts... The mesh fabric was a belt tie from an old top...
I created the main circle of the card using strips of scraps from my scrap drawer!! YEY for me! I havent been in there for a while! feels good to not waste stuff... think I might try to create more cards like this to use up more!
The card looked too small with just the circle, so I punched a load of small circles out of scrap Kraft card... cut them in half, and added them around the edge...

The oh so gorgeous Lilith from Tickled Pink is coloured with promarkers and derwent pencils...

I originally stamped the sentiment directly on the card, but I pressed too hard and got a horrible ink line round the edges...grrrrr!! fortunately I found a precut circle in my scraps box MATCHING one of the strips I'd used on the background!!! How perefect is that!!
so I stamped it again... and did a 'cover up' shhhhhhh!
its from the Greeting Farm spotlight set...
The bracket (from the same set) is stamped with red ink, and I've cut it out....
(don't know if you can see, but I've added a bit of enamel accents to some of the white dots)
added a few crystals, and a bit of doodling, and thats it!!

Is it wrong that I really like this card??
I don't think I've made a shaped Card before...(I'm a bit of a square:)) but I think I might be making more in future!!
I've made this card with the following challenges in mind...
  Tickled Pink - Shaped Cards
Cheerful Stamp Pad - Going in Circles
Karens Doodles - recycle it
Sparkles Forum - One for the girls
Wags And Whiskers - Buttons and bows
I Love Promarkers - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Shaped Cards
Truly Scrumptious - Buttons and bows

off now to link up quickly, as some of these challenges end soon!!

Thanks for looking!

My Sweet Sugar Nellie Coin Purse...

Good Afternoon!
How the devil are you all?

Just a quick post today, I've been meaning to share this for AGES, but never get round to photographing it...
to be honest these photo's arent the best... but I'm going to get me a daylight lamp ASAP, and get some lessons off my lil bro...
anyway, I digress...

I made this little coin purse when I first got my Sewing Machine... I wanted it to take on holiday with me, rather than taking a big bulky one... but now, I use it all the time!!
This was my first attempt at stamping on fabric,
I coloured the beautiful Leanne Ellis 'Faraway thoughts' image with promarkers,
and to be honest, its a bit of a pain, you do have to just dab the colour on SO lightly... I'm going to look into other markers specifically for fabrics, as I'd prefer more vibrancy...
if anyone can suggest anything I'd be VERY grateful!

I didnt follow any pattern for this it was really just a case of trial and error, so I have to say I was HUGELY relieved at the outcome...

The outside of the purse is just a double layer of curtain lining, and the inside was from a pack of fat quarters I picked up at hobbycraft AGES ago!
I added a tab in the same fabric so that I could hang a clasp from it, this could clip to a belt, or a bag...
but I've just added a little moon charm to compliment the image....

Here you can see the clasp a little better, and the lining...
The zip was salvaged from an old bag I hadnt used for years!

I added a couple of rhinestones just to add a bit of detail...

I do love this purse, and I use it all the time... it fits a couple of cards in it too!

I hope you like it?

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges...
Allsorts - Free and Easy
Crafty Emmas Store - Feeling the Blues
Just us Girls - Use Fabric
The Stamp Man - Stitching

Well, thats me for today!!
hopefully I'll have something to show you tomorrow too!
