Whiff of Joy and Sugar Bowl Challenges

Good Evening all!!
Another couple of cards to share with you... and yep, they are Christmas ones!
First up is my entry into this weeks WHIFF OF JOY challenge.
Margas sketch is fantastic.... but I tried to be a bit too clever with it, and I'm not entirely sure i've pulled it off! the more I tried to fix it the more I strayed from the layout! but I'm using 'artistic licence' on this one, and if you squint your eyes a bit the sketch is there!! I promise!

Heres my card....

I've again used this beautiful stamp in a different way to make it fit christmas.... I love how it looks like she is catching the snowflake...
heres a close up of the details...

Stuff: Fall Willow Whiff of Joy
Coloured with promarkers and pencils

papers DCWV and BG

ribbon stampin up

Next is my entry for the current Sugar bowl challenge which is another amazing sketch from Lilian.
There is a 'please include' option which is to use your favourite colour... now the trickiest part of this challenge was deciding on my favourite colour!!
I do love to use brown alot...and I'm always out of Brown papers before anything else, so I think its brown!!
I teamed it with red to make it a little more christmassy....

Heres my card...

Heres a close up of the details... can't believe how glittery i've become...I NEVER used to use glitter on cards!!!
stuff: Miss Clause Sugar nellie
Colored with promarkers and pencils
Papers BG mix of scraps
brads all MM
sentiment computer generated.

well thats another 2 down... if I continue at this pace I'll be done by erm...... march!
Thanks for popping over today!

Merry and Bright... some Christmas colour....

Well I think I'm on a roll!!!..... another 2 Christmas cards made!! WOOHOOOO!!! Been trying to use up some paper scraps and am getting a bit sick of using reds and greens, so although these cards do have traditional colours in them, Ive tried to go for bright, different colours....
The first card is for 2 challenges:
1~A Spoonful of sugar~ Non traditional Christmas
2~Sophisticats~ Snowflakes and sparkle
A little close up so you can see the sparkle...
Stuff: Noelle from Mos digital pencil
coloured with promarkers and pencils
papers scraps BO bunny and BG
sentiment computer generated.
Next up is my hubby's Christmas card from ME.... it is a bit glittery, but I'm sure he won't mind...:)
This is also for 2 challenges:
And again, a little close up so you can see the sparkle....

Coloured with promarkers and pencils
Papers scraps...not sure
sentiment computer generated

Phew, I feel like I'm getting somewhere with my cards now.... still a long way to go, but its helping loads trying to make them fit challenges, gives me a good starting point....
Thanks for looking!!!

MAWTT Challenge Heidis sketch and hidden elements...

Over at Moving along with the times this week there is a fabulous sketch from Heidi... who also wants to see hidden elements in your project....
I've never done anything like this on a card before, so thought I'd give it a go.....
Heres my card with everything closed up and hidden......

And here it is with the little suprise sentiment opened out.....

I'm actually quite pleased with this card.... I hope My MIL and FIL are too!!.....
The hidden element has worked quite well, because I'm not really sure how I would have fit the sentiment on otherwise.... this way it will fit in the envelope lovely with the sentiment put away, and can be left out when on display....
Heres a close up of the image, so you can see the sparkle.....
Stuff: Siku and Shiya from Mos Digital Pencil
Coloured with promarkers and pencils
Papers DCWV and BG
Ribbon American crafts
Sentiment computer generated
rest from stash
Well thats another Christmas card done..... I'll keep ploughing through them slowly....
Thanks for looking
