I'm in the Sugar Nellie spotlight!!!....

.... Can you believe it?? NO, ME NEITHER!!
Well to say I'm chuffed is a bit of an understatement!
Go and check out the Sugar Nellie blog!!

Thank you SO much Elaine for asking me... it really has given me a MAJOR confidence boost!

right, so onto some cardage...
Heres what I've created for my turn in the spotlight...

The gorgeous Stamp is of course Artistic Goddess from Sugar Nellie... I LOVE her!!!
She's coloured with promarkers...
I created kind of a brick wall effect for her to hang her painting on with an old envelope and a pencil crayon... simples!
I created the background using some textured white cardstock, and stamped swirls using various different coloured inks...
the swirl stamp is from a whimsy carousel horse set...
the pink paper is MME
And I just added a strip of ribbon...
2 rolled flowers...one made from felt, and one from the same brown envelope as the background...
added some buttons some doodling and a sentiment... et voila!

Hope you like it...
do pop over to the Sugar Nellie blog to see me in the spotlight!! and see the other cards Elaine has picked to show...

Thanks for visiting today!!

Simply Sassy GD call

Okay, I've been telling myself for well over a week now NOT to enter the Simply Sassy GD call...
for various reasons... some silly, some not so silly ;)
BUT... I keep looking at those gorgeous stamps, and thinking about how much fun I've had since I got my first one!! so I'm biting the bullet and going for it...

nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that...

So, I need to share 3 Simply Sassy creations with you that best show my style...
now.. I'm not sure I have a 'style' but I think these show something! not sure quite what?!

First of all I chose this card...
I think Amelia is my favourite Sassy... she appeals to the dreamer in me,
and those who know me will know I have a thing about clouds ;)...

Secondly this one...
I had THE MOST fun making this one... I just couldn't stop adding bits to it... and Hippy Chick is AWESOME to colour!

And finally, one you've seen most recently... just to show sometimes I like to be a bit different...;) Vintage boutique coloured with a HB pencil

okay, so thats it done... no going back now!
wish me luck!

A Little Bit Of Vintage Time For A Friend

Good Evening peoples!!
How are we all doing?
Did you spot my brand spankin' new header??
isn't it GORGEOUS!!
The fabulously talented and oh so lurvely Jo made it for me!
Thanks so much Jo, I love it to bits!

Today I'm here to share a card that has been on my desk in pieces for the last few days...
You know when you have an EXACT idea of what you want a card to look like, but its just not happening!
well this was THAT card... I kept having to leave it, and go back to it, because things just werent working how I wanted them to...

This card is SMALL, only 4 x 5 inches, which seems TEENY when I'm used to working with 6 x 6 inches...
I wanted to use this GORGEOUS vintage boutique image, but she's quite small, She would have been lost on a larger card, but I did find it tricky fitting everything else into the small area!

Anyways, heres my card
(excuse the dreadful photos, there's alot of shiny elements on this card, and it was tricky to capture)

The card was actually based around the fab Whiff of Joy sentiment. 'Friends get better with time'
I tried to play around with the 'time' theme and created a clock frame...
Its basically hand cut from Kraft... The numbers were drawn with a silver gel pen, and I've doodled around the edges with a black fineliner...
The swirly, shiny leafy things is cut from a DCWV page from the rockstar stack... I didnt think I would EVER use this paper... hadn't thought about cutting it up!
heres a close up...

The Fabric flower has been made following Anitas fab tutorial over on the Simply Sassy blog...
These are SO fun to make, and so easy too!! I think these are going to be appearing ALOT!
The buttons are both recycled from old jeans...
(hubby thinks I'm mad saving EVERYTHING!!, but you just never know...)
heres another close up...

The papers are all scraps... I think MME, Echo park and Basic grey!
except for the little black and white strip on the right, I made that my doodling some lines with a black promarker!
I've coloured the Gorgeous Sassy by just shading with a pencil... NOT intentional... I was just SO tired when making this card, and my promarkers just werent playing with the teeny details...
I actually like it like this though now!

to finish I've just added some doodling with various pens... some dew drops, and a rose charm...

phew... are you still with me?

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...

Stamp With Fun - Friends
Secret Crafter - Include a number (on the clock)
Squigglefly - Kraft

Thanks so much for visiting!

Awesome Lil Luca For Sketch Saturday #165

Good Morning peoples!
I hope you are all well?
Well, the Summer holidays are finally here!! great to have my Son home...great not to have to get up early in the morning... but not so great that my crafting time will be limited :(

Before I move on to this weeks Sketch Saturday I wanted to share my FABBY NEWS!!
This week I won $50 over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge!!
HOW AWESOME is that???
there were SO many amazing products to choose from that it took me a WHOLE day to finish my order LOL!!
Thanks SSS!!
ALSO I won a Simply Sassy stamp over on the Simply Sassy blog!!
Thanks Simply Sassy Girls!!!
I've never won anything before in my life!! and then I win 2 things in the same week!!
How lucky am I??

Okay, So on to this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge...
I have to admit, this weeks sketch caused me a headache... I don't know why??  really its a fabulous sketch and a nice and simple one too!
maybe its just me having a no mojo moment!
Anyway after a WHOLE day... heres what I came up with...

I made this card to give to my Son, for doing so well in his first year of secondary school!
He's had a brilliant year, and we are SO proud of him!
He reminds me SO much of my Son, he's growing his hair now, and he's ever so fussy about it, I even had to straighten it for him when we went to his school awards evening on Wednesday!!LOL!!

I've coloured Luca with Promarkers...
I've created the brown striped paper with a sandstone promarker.
and hole punched some lined paper for the next layer, which I've stuck at an angle, and threaded some twine through the holes.
The horizontal strips are DCWV Rockstar
The 'abc' panel is from a sassafrass stack
The circle is cut from a MME paper set
The brackets are die cuts from the same MME set... as is the tab
The AWESOME sentiment was created on the PC
I've added a punched circle from newspaper
and buttons and paperclips from my stash...

think thats about it!

I've made this card with the following challenges in mind...
Simon Says Stamp - Newspaper (okay, so theres not much of it, but its there!)
Tickled Pink - Spots and Stripes
My Mums Craft Shop - For a Teen
Totally Papercrafts - One for the boys

Thanks for visiting me today, and thanks for all the lovely comments you've been leaving me... it really means alot!

Good morning peoples...
hope you are all well and are having a wonderful weekend?
I didnt get as much crafting done as I'd hoped yesterday... :(
did manage to get a couple of cards finished though, and heres one of them...

I think I got a bit carried away with extras on this, I kept adding a bit more to it, then a bit more....

The gorgeous Sassy Girl is Hippy Chick! oh my, I think I'm officially in lurve with these stamps...
She's coloured with promarkers.
The papers are MME and echo park
I made the flower using a handcut felt piece and the petals from a broken paper flower, then added a button in the centre...
The sentiment is from the cc designs Amy R summer set
The clouds are handcut from Kraft card, and I've added LOADS of different sized heart buttons here and there

I followed Kiki's gorgeous sketch  from the Sugar Bowl ( I rotated it)

There is also an optional extra of lace

Sketch Saturday DT card...Sponsored by Bunny Zoes crafts

Good Morning!!
Its the weekend!! whoooohooo!!! can you believe I've only just got up!!!
have had so many awful nights this week, I must have been catching up!
Hoping to get lots of crafty time in today, so expect a few posts over the next few days!

Today though, its Sketch Saturday time.... and Jo has provided yet another cracking sketch!!

I bought a few Tickled Pink Stamps when they were last available as digi, and they have been sitting colourless for too long now!!
This one is Victorian Steampunk Evie... LOVE her!!

Bit of a different 'feel' for me this one... but I think I like it!
I've coloured Evie with my promarkers...
The papers I had to dig deep for... I coloured the image and then wasn't sure I had any papers in the right colours... The polka dot paper I found in a freebie stack I got with a mag AGES ago... and the others are from the DCWV old world stack... which I think was one of the first paper stacks I ever bought!
The lined paper is Prima, which I used for the butterflies, and the little tabs at the bottom...
I made the flower using a punch, and a spiral roll, and added a pearl in the centre.
The sentiment was a gift from the lovely Maria...
I've added some buttons, beads and doodles to finish....

heres the awesome sketch...

this week we are sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts

A Sassy Second entry for the Sugar Bowl

Good Afternoon!!
Just a quickie post...got to start preparing dinner soon...
I made this card a couple of days ago, but didnt get chance to post,

I loved the sketch so much over at the Sugar Bowl, I decided to have another play...
(and I was a little bit pleased with those canvas flowers, so wanted to make more...)

The Gorgeous Sassy is Fit and Flirty, and was an early Birthday gift from a fabby friend!!
(you know who you are!!! and thanks for letting me use it before my Birthday!)
I will admit to not being entirely pleased with this card... I really wanted to use the stamp, but she is carrying a drinks bottle, and I couldn't really figure how to fit that into the theme of a card...
So I had to crop her! this card took far to much faffing for my liking!!

The papers are Crate paper and MME...
and again I've used Kraft and canvas.
added a few buttons and a bit of ribbon, and that's about it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Sketch Saturday DT card...sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

ooopsie.... I'm a bit late posting this....
We went out to have a bit of a knock around on the tennis court this morning... then went for a bit of a stroll by the river... its been beautiful here today!!
We nipped back to grab some lunch, and then we took a run out to the shops...
This is the first chance I've had to sit at the computer today!

Anyway... enough of the waffle... heres my DT card for this weeks Sketch Saturday

I've used another of my new Lili of the Valley cuties... isn't she sweet!!???
She should have a little fluffy friend with her, but I cut him off! (It didnt hurt him, I promise!)
The papers are MME and Echo park, and I've used Kraft and embossed some White card stock.
When I saw Jo's fabby sketch this week, I knew straight away what I wanted to do...

I've flipped it upside down and the 3 circles in a row have become my flowers on a branch! (you will note I only have 2... yep, another mishap with the floor!! lets say no more about it!)

We are sponsored this week by Simon Says Stamp and theres a FAB $25 voucher up for grabs...

Before I go, I wanted to share this:
The card I showed in my previous post was featured on the Sugar Nellie blog!!
here it is again incase you didnt see it...

I havent stopped smiling since I found out! its like I've won an oscar or something LOL!!
I ran to tell hubby as soon as I knew, and he just didnt seem to get how exciting it is!
wooohooooo!!

anyway, thats me for today, I'll be back tomorrow with a Simply Sassy creation...
(and I've had 3 more Sassys delivered today!! yippeee!)

A Foxy Yellow Ribbon Stitched up for the Sugar Bowl...

Good Morning Peoples!!
Hope everyone is well?? the rain has now stopped here, and its looking set to be a beauty!!
I'll be sat in my craft room though... no time for sunshine when the mojo is flowing!

This morning I've made a card to enter into a few challenges...
Really enjoying getting into challenges again!! but I always forget to check back to see if I've won anything!! LOL!!

Right, heres this mornings card...

I've followed Erikas rather gorge sketch over at the sugar bowl...
its a fabby sketch to play around with... I've rotated it...

The Theme over there is 'make your own flowers'
So thats what I did!
They are made using Canvas... using the old rolled up spiral routine...
then I popped a button in the middle of each.
They are backed by handcut flowery shapes from MME paper
I did make 3, but just as the card was coming together nicely... one of them ended up on the floor, and I stood on it when I was rolling out my chair!! GRRRRRR!!
anyhoo, stuck on a paper one instead...

I've used my fav image in the world... Foxy
Coloured her with promarkers...
I've used her quite a lot actually... are we sick of seeing her? NOPE!!
The patterned paper is MME
And I've used Kraft (thanks Emma!!!) and white canvas as the main background...
the 'hill' is cut from DCWV old world paper

Added a bit of yellow trim at the bottom,
a 'thanks a bunch' sentiment
(a pressie from the gorgeous Maria..not sure of the make sorry)
and an extra button (you can still see the wet glue OMG!! ignore that!)
and some faux stitching here and there...
The HUGE bow was actually an after thought (I think it shows actually!)

phew... did you get all that??

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges...

Simon says stamp 'a stitch in time'
Passion for Promarkers 'tie a yellow ribbon'
and
PTW 'Anything goes' (optional buttons)

okay, I think thats me done...
