Something VERY different!!

Good afternoon peoples!
Yep, ANOTHER post!!
Feeling like I've got a bit of mojo lately... so I'm making the most of it...
(and I've tidied my craft room, so I can actually find stuff now!)

I've been naughty this morning and paid my first visit to Tickled Pink stamps...
I have been told off though, hubby checked my paypal account this afternoon...
oooopsssss!!
I've been admiring these quirky cuties for AGES... but I wasn't sure what I'd do with them,
so kept resisting...till I saw the Victorian steampunk ones!!!
AND that they are available in DIGI... awesome!!
My son has been asking for a bookmark for ages, so thought these would be perfect...

Found some spray inks in my stash, that I have never used! so I had a little play... don't remember buying them, or what I bought them for!... maybe a little craft fairy bought them for me ...;)
Anyway... heres my VERY different for me bookmark...

Don't know how i'd describe the style... maybe just my version of vintage?!
Heres a more close up image of the details...

You can get Steampunk Luca HERE
I've coloured him with promarkers...
The text paper was a free download from melstampz
i've layered the pocket watch onto it in my graphics program before printing... that was also free from HERE
I inked all the edges with my new found inks...
The sentiments were created on the PC
The ticket strip was a border from a sassafrass paper, I folded it to make it curved...
The strip at the bottom was from the same paper...
the ribbon and gems are from my stash
The chain and charm were from ebay...

I SO enjoyed making this, and my son's verdict?...
'Mum its well cool!! you're AWESOME!'

Everybody wins...yey!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges...

Paperplay - Anything but a card
My Mums Craft Shop - Something old/Something new (new image/old inks)
Karens Doodles - Perfect purples
Paper Sundaes - choose 2 toppings (I choose purple/gems)

WOW, its so great to enjoy crafting again... I might even have something else to post tomorrow...
I know its mad isn't it!?!

My First Simply Sassy Creation...

Well, how about this!?!?!
DO NOT ADJUST your sets... it is not Saturday!!
I am genuinely posting on a Tuesday!!

And I'm entering a couple of challenges too!!
I've been on a bit of a spending ban... but it was temporarily lifted on Friday night
(because I've been a good girl!)
so I popped over to a couple of shops and bought me some goodies...

I've been eyeing up the Simply Sassy girls for a VERY long time!!
So spending ban lifted, guess where I ran...
I wasn't too naughty, and only bought a couple...
Thats because I also went somewhere else too...LOL!

They arrived today, and I was inky before you could say tsukineko!
(actually, I can't say that!!)

Here is the result...

This is Skater girl, she's gorgeous to colour!!
I coloured her with my promarkers
The papers are MME Lime twist, and Echo park, a walk in the park...
you can grab them both at Crafty Emmas store..
I punched out a couple of little flutterbies, and doodled a few details on them, and added teeny tiny gems for heads (can you see them?)
the grass is doodled, and so is the cloud...
I printed a load of teeny letters out for the sentiment...
and added a bit of orange gingham ribbon from my stash...
Thats about it...

I've followed the GORGEOUS Sketch from the sugar bowl
Thanks Marlene!
I rotated it...
there is also a theme of summer, I think the colours are pretty summery...

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges
Make it Monday - Anything goes
The Crafty Pad - Bold and Bright
Stampin for the weekend - Favourite things
my 'things' are doodling, butterflies and clouds..

Well, I think thats me for tonight... best go get linked up to all these challenges...
if I can remember how to do it!!

see you soon!

Sketch Saturday Jeanettes DT week... and the winner of my Bag....

Good Morning all....
Wow it looks set to be a glorious day here... hope its lovely where you are....
First things first..
I hope you all enjoyed our birthday celebrations over at Sketch Saturday last week...
Thank you for the lovely comments on my little fabric bag...
in answer to the commonly asked question:
'How did I colour the fabric?'
I used promarkers, and just VERY lightly sort of dabbed the colour on... and avoided going to close to the lines.... thats basically it!
I have to say it wasn't easy, and it did take me 2 attempts...

anyway.... the person who will be recieving it to have a closer inspection is:
No:30
Congrats!! the bag is yours, and so are the secret crafty goodies inside...
Please contact me with your address.

okay, so on to this weeks Sketch Saturday!
Its Jo's week off this week... and the lovely and oh so talented Jeanette has provided us an awesome sketch to work with...

heres my take on it...
This is my all time favourite stamp... she was originally from Sugar Nellie, but you can now get her HERE at Belles and Whistles... she comes with a post box, but I was in a rush to make this card, so I cut off any extra colouring (blush)
She's coloured with promarkers...
the papers are a mix of MME and pink paisley...
Flower is from my stash

our sponsor this week is:
and theres an awesome $25 gift voucher up for grabs...

Thanks for looking today!
