Christ'mouse' Hugs...

Gooooood Morning!!
Today I'm sharing a card I've made for the Whiff of Joy Challenge who this time are asking for 'distressing'

Yep.... I'm back to the distressing... I actually think I 'might' just be getting the hang of it!!

I've used the Super Cool Henry Mouse for this one...
He's coloured with promarkers...
The papers are K & co, and Bo Bunny
For the sentiment... (so you dont get bored as i've only got the one Christmas one... LOL!)
I've just stamped the Christmas from the woodware 'Happy Christmas' Sentiment and just the 'hugs' from a docrafts 'sending you hugs' sentiment... so now I have 'Christmas Hugs'
The snowflake charm I bought from Whiff of Joy last year, I think they have a new style now...
The punch is from woodware called 'blink blink'
Ribbon and brads are from stash...
and again I've gone a bit MAD with the Viva decor pearl pens...
Heres a close up so you can see the effect... I LOVE these!!!! no fiddling with teeny pearls and glue... and you can create whatever size you want!
Simon says stamp and A Spoonful of Sugar both have a punches theme, so I'm entering there too!!
Okay, thats me for today!!
I'll be back tomorrow with something else...

And now for something completely different!!! Clean and simple....

Well, after all the 'distressing' I thought I should try out something else...
Clean and Simple...
I'm a big fan of the CAS style, but like distressing... Its not something I feel I can quite grasp...
When I saw the Sketch over at Cute Card Thursday I had an idea, so ran with it...
I've follwed the colour scheme over at Colour Create ~ Aqua, Purple and White
Sorry for the 'iffy' pic... bloomin' tricky to photo white cards I think...

I've used the rather adorable Rosie Posy from Lili of the Valley
I've coloured her with promarkers...
The papers are scraps from DCWV 'pocketful of posies' stack
The sentiment is from docrafts
And I've added some Viva Decor pearls...

My hubby said he REALLY loved this card... as its not 'fussy' like my others.... what does he know??? LOL!!
I'll be back tomorrow with a 'fussy' one... hee hee...
Thanks for looking!!

A bit more 'distressing' practice...

Hi all!!
Thanks to everyone who visited and left lovely comments yesterday... its nice to know I'm not talking to myself...LOL!!
Heres another card i've made whilst practising my 'distressing' techniques...
I've made this to fit the follwing challenges:

and here it is...
I've coloured my super cute Mr Stocking... with promarkers
I've added a bit of diamond glaze to his boots, but try as I might, I couldn't get a piccy that would show it up!
The paper is from my stash, I think its DCWV from the christmas stack.
The sentiment is from a woodware set... its my ONLY Christmas sentiment at the moment...so you might get sick of seeing it! LOL!!
I will have to remedy that!
Ribbon and button are from stash....

i'll be back tomorrow with something TOTALLY different for me...

Dare to Dream...

Good Morning! Happy Sunday...
Just popping on to share a card I made a couple of nights ago...

I've been practising distressing lately, as its something I love to see on other peoples cards, but something I've never managed to make look right on my own...
I did make this with a 'distressing' challenge in mind, but for the life of me, I can't find which challenge it was!!

as you can see, I haven't gone OTT just yet... I need to practice more first...
I've also tried something else I havent done much of... and thats paper piecing... as you can see I've stamped the image twice, first onto the patterned paper, and then onto white card stock for the sections I needed to colour... bit fiddly to cut out, but I like the end result!

My Gorgeous image is Faraway thoughts by Leanne Ellis
The YUMMY, SCRUMMY papers are designed by my fab friend Tracy, and you can get them over at The Creative Cottage... they are from the Poppy Delight Paper set...
I've printed them onto textured linen cardstock, and they print fab!!
The image is mounted on DCWV green paper
Flower ribbon and moon charm are from stash
and 'dream' is handwritten..

I'm entering this card in the following challenges...

Thanks for looking today!!

Good Morning!!!
Happy Saturday!!
I've let myself down a bit this week havent I... no cards for nearly a week... the shame of it!!
Fear not... I have 2 to share over the next couple of days...
BUT first... Its Sketch Saturday time!!

Jo's come up with a fab one this week, I really love it!!
Heres my card... it looks better IRL, but I was running late yesterday, and had to photo it in the afternoon, so the light was rubbish!

I've used an older Sugar Nellie stamp... I think they are still some of my favs...
She's coloured with promarkers, and I've just chalked round the edges.
The papers are from my scrap draw, I think they are bo bunny...
The flowers are handcut from another peice of the scrap paper, I think thats bo bunny too!
And then to finish I added some pearls with my viva decor pens...

This week at Sketch Saturday, we are sponsored by

pop over to see the cute prize, and for some awesome inspiration from the DT...

Another Autumn Creation...

Well with all the Autumn challenges out there at the moment providing so much inspiration, my desk has been full of green, orange and brown papers...

Rather than have to put them all away...
(yes I'm a lazy crafter too!!)
I've been trying to use them up!

So here is another Autumn themed card, which I made with the following challenges in mind...
First up, I followed the fabby Sketch at Sketch and Stash

Then... I've used a gorgeous Belles and Whistles Stamp, so I'm entering the new Belles and Whistles challenge.. which is to use 'Fall' colours.

Totally Papercrafts also have an Autumn theme..

Paperplay want you to take inspiration from this photo...

And I Love Promarkers want to see Cupcakes...

phew!!!.... so heres my card...

I've coloured the image with my promarkers (no suprise there!)
The papers are all scraps....
Card stock is stampin up...
I've handwritten the 'thanks' ...and the 'youre so sweet' sentiment is from elzybells
rest is from stash...

2 completely different cards....

Hi Everyone!!!
I'm back again with 2 cards this time!! I was going to save one for another post, but knowing me I'll end up forgetting to post it!!
as you know, I don't really have a 'style' I'm not sure if thats a good thing or bad...
all I know is these 2 cards are SO different in style!!... you wouldnt think I made one straight after the other!!
(well, except that one of the papers is the same, cos it was there looking at me!)

Sometimes I LOVE loads of layers, as this next card shows...
Tiets has made an AWESOME (if not a lil bit tricky) sketch over on the Sugar Bowl this week....

Are you like me, and see a challenge like this and LOVE it!! I do like a challenge to BE a challenge!!
The optional extra is Autumn...
So heres my card...
I've coloured my Gorjuss girl with promarkers...
The papers are all DCWV, from the green, and rockstar stacks...
The butterfly has been cut from one of the papers, and then I added a few details to it with a fineliner
Sentiment is handwritten
and I added a few pearls...
I'm entering this card into the following challenges...

On to my next creation...SO different from the last!
sometimes, I hardly like to use any layers at all....
Fairly simple this one..

its been a while since I joined in at Sweet Stampin, but this weeks challenge is a special one, so although i'm running a bit late, I HAD to join in....
This ones for Emma...
The challenge is Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend...
I've coloured my yummy Sweet November mermaid with promarkers..
The paper is from the DCWV rockstar stack..
Sentiment is CC designs Amy R Summer sentiments set..
and I've added LOADS of mini pearls with my new best friend... the viva decor pearl pens!!!
some of them are a bit dodgy, but I'm getting better!! even my hubby likes these pens, and says I should get loads more colours... Well I'm not going to argue with that!!!
I've added some bling hearts to qualify for the challenge...

I'm also entering this for the Allsorts 'Song inspiration challenge' although I did already enter with my 'Kisses' card earlier, so if I'm not allowed another entry, just delete me...

i'll be back in the morning with my Sketch Saturday DT card...
Thanks for looking!

one of 'those' cards...

Do you ever get 'second hand' card orders??
LOL!!
By this I mean, do you ever have an order for a card, but don't get the information regarding whats needed on said card from the person ordering??

I've only recently been brave enough to send my hubby into work with some cards to sell...fortunately they are going down a storm (yey me!!) unfortunately my new found fame is now resulting in hubby coming home with orders for cards...

all well and good if I had an idea what the card was for, what they wanted on it, when they wanted it by etc...
but my hubby being my hubby, I get...
'I need a card making for someone at work.... she's 82!'

'who's 82?? the person its for, or the person ordering!! is it for a Birthday?? arrrggghhh.......'

LOL... you get the picture!! this was one of those cards...

after sending hubby back for further details I found out it was a card for someones mum, for her 82nd Birthday... and I got the brief: old fashioned, and horses...
okay, I don't 'do' old fashioned, and didnt have a horse stamp... problemo!!
Still, i'd been eyeing up the whimsy carousel horses for a while, and when I spotted the proud momma one... I had a 'bingo' moment...
old fashioned was the hard part...
This was my third attempt...LOL!! and I still havent been told if its okay...
or recieved the cash for that matter..... hmmmmm, think I need a word with hubby!!
anyway, enough waffle... my card...

I've coloured the beautiful Whimsy horses with just 2 promarkers, and a brown crayon... I cut them off the 'pole' (does it have a technical name?...i don't know!)
hand cut 2 little clouds to use as masks for the chalked background...
The cardstock is all stampin up, and i've embossed the white card using a cuttlebug folder...
The sentiment stamp is from Do crafts
and the 'mum' is a sizzix die...
flowers, ribbon and charm are from stash...

It looks SO much better in real life, but the photo had to be taken quickly before hubby rushed it in to work...

anyways.... I'm entering this into the following challenges...

Creative Card Crew ~ Blooming Marvellous
Crafty Calendar ~ Birthdays
Paper sundaes ~ Something from your stash
