A Little Bit Of Vintage Time For A Friend

Good Evening peoples!!
How are we all doing?
Did you spot my brand spankin' new header??
isn't it GORGEOUS!!
The fabulously talented and oh so lurvely Jo made it for me!
Thanks so much Jo, I love it to bits!

Today I'm here to share a card that has been on my desk in pieces for the last few days...
You know when you have an EXACT idea of what you want a card to look like, but its just not happening!
well this was THAT card... I kept having to leave it, and go back to it, because things just werent working how I wanted them to...

This card is SMALL, only 4 x 5 inches, which seems TEENY when I'm used to working with 6 x 6 inches...
I wanted to use this GORGEOUS vintage boutique image, but she's quite small, She would have been lost on a larger card, but I did find it tricky fitting everything else into the small area!

Anyways, heres my card
(excuse the dreadful photos, there's alot of shiny elements on this card, and it was tricky to capture)

The card was actually based around the fab Whiff of Joy sentiment. 'Friends get better with time'
I tried to play around with the 'time' theme and created a clock frame...
Its basically hand cut from Kraft... The numbers were drawn with a silver gel pen, and I've doodled around the edges with a black fineliner...
The swirly, shiny leafy things is cut from a DCWV page from the rockstar stack... I didnt think I would EVER use this paper... hadn't thought about cutting it up!
heres a close up...

The Fabric flower has been made following Anitas fab tutorial over on the Simply Sassy blog...
These are SO fun to make, and so easy too!! I think these are going to be appearing ALOT!
The buttons are both recycled from old jeans...
(hubby thinks I'm mad saving EVERYTHING!!, but you just never know...)
heres another close up...

The papers are all scraps... I think MME, Echo park and Basic grey!
except for the little black and white strip on the right, I made that my doodling some lines with a black promarker!
I've coloured the Gorgeous Sassy by just shading with a pencil... NOT intentional... I was just SO tired when making this card, and my promarkers just werent playing with the teeny details...
I actually like it like this though now!

to finish I've just added some doodling with various pens... some dew drops, and a rose charm...

phew... are you still with me?

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...

Stamp With Fun - Friends
Secret Crafter - Include a number (on the clock)
Squigglefly - Kraft

Thanks so much for visiting!

Paula!! This is soooo pretty! I love the combo of papers - I too have that Rockstar paper pad and I have NO idea why I even bought it, but you've given me a fab idea! ;)

Love the electic mix of buttons and charms! The yoyo flower is gorgeous - I wish I had some scrap material so I could try it!

Love the whole time theme - you're so smart! I think the whole card works well and everything is nicely proportioned!! Nice job at a smaller card! ;)
