Sketch Saturday #155 and a couple of firsts!

Good Morning one and all!!...
Well, I decided not to attempt scheduling my post, as given the latest goings on at blogger I expected to have to re write it anyway...
looks like (fingers, toes and eyes crossed) everything seems to have been fixed...
phew!
got my own problems this morning though... I have a sticky 'd' on my laptop... grrrrr.... you'll have to forgive me if I've dropped a couple here and there...
right enough of the waffle, onwards with the show my friends...
(lol... does anyone watch Miranda?)

This week at Sketch Saturday Jo has provided us with yet another super dooper sketch...

and heres my DT card....
I've been rather brave on this, and have attempted 2 firsts...
colouring darker tone skin... which looks much better IRL... the piccy was taken late in the evening, so is a bit washed out...
AND.... da da da da da da daaaaaaaaaa...
I've finally attempted using my sewing machine on cards.... have had it for a few months now... and have actually gotten used to it REALLY quickly... have so far made a messenger bag, a beach bag and a purse!
will have to take some piccies....
anyway I digress... its the first time I've used it on my cards....
in hindsight i should have used a larger stitch setting, but I'm still pretty pleased with how it turned out...
just don't look too closely at my going in circles effort.... lol!

This week we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp....
and theres a fab $25.00 up for grabs!!!

Hope you can join in!

Your sewing is fab Paula! I bought a mini sewing machine and it lasted all of three months - what a waste of money that was!

Gorgeous card - I gotta try dark skin!
