Announcements... and a blogging break!!

Hiya everyone (if there is anyone still reading?)
You may have noticed I've been a bit hit and miss lately with blogging... (well I say 'lately' I've never been brilliant...lol)
well here's the reason...

Some of you may already know from my announcement on my other blog, and my DT buddies already know...

We are expecting!!
(Due in 14 weeks!)

We are all really excited to be adding a new member to our family... and found out at our scan a few weeks ago that we are having another little man...

and here he is....

I'd also like to take the opportunity wish my 'not so little' other little man a VERY happy 13th Birthday!!
Love you loads matey!!

So my life is going to be turned upside down very soon, which is why I've made the difficult decision to step down from my DT position at Sketch Saturday...

I was starting to find card making a chore, which isn't good... and I wasn't being fair on Jo and the rest of the 'saturdays' as I was forgetting to post my cards most weeks!! (yep...baby brain!!)
So I say a sad farewell to the gorgeous ladies at Sketch Saturday... :(
Jo... you are amazing!! Thanks for having me... you are a STAR... and a wonderful person!!
I'm so thrilled to have been a part of such a talented and friendly team!

well... as the only posts on here were my DT cards... I guess that means I won't have anything to post anymore...
I'll post an update when my lil fella arrives... but other than that I'll be taking a break from this blog....

Catch you all later!!

oh, before I go here's the 2 DT cards I forgot to post....

Thanks for visiting...

Sketch Saturday #202 My DT week...

Hi all!!
Yeah, I've been missing for a couple of weeks... I'm a bit mojoless at the moment... and my head is all over the place... I even forgot to post my Sketch Saturday card last week!!
(i'll post it another time!)

Heres my card for this week though... following a sketch by ME...
We are sponsored this week by Tiddly Inks...
and theres a fab prize of a $10 shopping spree up for grabs...!

Heres my card... for some reason the photo is showing all grainy... not sure what i've done to it!

The SUPER CUTE image is Wryn from Tiddly inks...
aint she cute??? I loved colouring her!
She's been coloured with promarkers.
The papers I think are all echo park and MME all from my scraps box...
The sentiment is from the Greetings farm Spotlight set... I stamped parts of the stamp separately so I could make it fit the card better...
Added some little flourish die cuts for a bit of 'something extra'
and some dew drops and doodling to finish...

Thanks for visiting today!!

Sketch Saturday (Gorjuss Mum)

Good Afternoon!!
Sorry this post is a bit late... I've been catching up on a bit of housework this morning...
shhhh... I know crafting is more important, but I don't think the craft fairy noticed! ;)

This week at Sketch Saturday the fabulous Jo has provided us with yet another SUPER DOOPER sketch...
(when doesn't she?)

I decided to use it to make one of my 2 needed mothers day cards... (you'll see the other next week ;))

I always find that when my mojo is a bit 'off' I can give it a little boost by colouring up a gorjuss girl...
I do still have a BIG place in my heart for these...

She's coloured with Promarkers and pencils...
this sketch is great for using up scraps of paper... so thats 3 bits used out of my thousands of bits...lol!
think they are all either MME or Echo park
I've hand drawn a panel on Kraft to incorporate the scallops needed for the sketch...
The image is mounted on a nestie shape which I've coloured with a promarker, and then stamped a few little blooms on to it... (not sure where the stamp came from)
the 'you're the best' is the words from a whimsy stamp...
I've hand cut the 'MUM'
risson, flowers buttons etc... from stash...

We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoes Crafts...
and theres a fab £10.00 voucher up for grabs...

if you can't wait to see if you are a winner, and NEED to shop NOW... theres a fab offer in store this weekend...
10% off everthing till midnight Sunday 18th!!
whoohooooo!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sketch Saturday... on the RIGHT day...go me!!!

Morning all!!

phew! I've literally JUST managed to get my card posted to Sketch Saturday by the skin of my teeth... with just a couple of minutes to spare...
AND, I'm posting it here on the right day!! now thats progress!

Fab start to the weekend, up nice and early, and things going to plan so far... all we need now is a nice sunny day!

right... I'm waffling...

This week over at Sketch Saturday, its the oh so talented Tracey's turn to provide a sketch for us... and its a beauty!!

We are SOOO lucky to be sponsored by the amazing Krista Smith who has generously offered 2 Saturated Canary digis for the lucky winner... woooohooooo!!

Most of the 'Saturdays' have used Kristas digis this week... and there are some literally STUNNING creations... make sure you check them out...

Heres mine....

this is Frizzy jynx... LOVE her!!!!!
I thought she was just perfectly sassy and cheeky enough for my baby sisters Birthday card...
and her birthdays not till the end of the month... so I'm ahead for a change!!! oh my!

The papers are a mix of bits and bobs from my scrap draw... I think mostly MME, and echo park...
I didnt want anything too flowery, as she's not really a 'girly girl', so just made a little rolled flower from kraft to add a bit of 'something'.... a few buttons, bit of ribbon and some sparkly 'dots'...
The 'lil' was hand written on kraft, and layered on foam pads...
the SIS is letters from a crate paper set... I coloured over the original light blue colour with a promarker...
bit of doodling here and there...
et voila!

not sure the photo is all that good, but thats what you get when you try to take it at 7:30 in the morning!

right... off for a coffee I think...

see you soon!!

Sketch Saturday #196 wee little birdies...

Morning all!
yep, I know, I've done it again!! I'm a day late!!
shhh though, I don't think anyone noticed... ;)

We were up and about late yesterday, and had loads to catch up on while hubby was off work...
and we spent the evening with his Mum and Dad, as we didn't get to spend long with them Friday on their Wedding Anniversary...

lazy day today though, fingers crossed!! Lovely chicken casserole for dinner, and hopefully a bit of crafty time...

Heres my DT card for this weeks Sketch Saturday... and my MIL and FIL's 44th Anniversary card.
using another FABBY sketch from Jo

The supercute lil birdies are from Wee Stamps... thought they were absolutely perfect...
I've coloured them with promarkers, and cut them out, so I could attach their little swing to a bit of bakers twine...
the papers are all sorts... mostly some that the lovely Maria has sent me...
I've used a Marianne designs frame die, cut in half, to add a bit of detail to the main image mount.
Added some flowers to the swing, and a rub on and some doodled letters for the sentiment...
doodled the edges, and an couple of hearts and thats about it...

pop over to Sketch Saturday to see the GORGEOUS work from the other Saturdays
we are sponsored this week by the Craft Barn... and theres a FAB £15 voucher up for grabs!!

Thanks for stopping by...

Sketch Saturday.... on a Sunday...

Yep, I've been back a week, and already I'm late... LOL!!
You know me by now...
its been a nightmare week here with one thing and another... everything seems to have broken all at the same time! BOTH the main pc, AND the laptop have decided to give up on us! then yesterday I couldn't get the camera to work, this morning the bloomin' mouse wasn't playing!! GRRRR so its amazing that I'm posting anything at all!!

oh, and on top of all that the car is in the garage YET AGAIN!! but thats not unusual this year, its there more than it is here... sigh...

right...moan out of the way, I'll quickly share my Sketch Saturday (on a Sunday) card with you...

The photo is pretty poor I'm afraid.... its either been too dull, or too bright where I normally take pics... and the camera doesn't seem to have saved any of the settings I normally use....
still, its marginally better than the one I originally posted on the Sketch Saturday blog...
I'll try harder next week, I promise... ;)

The GORGEOUS image is Butterfly Girl from funky kits (I can't see her on the site at the mo... not sure if she's OOS, or if I'm just being a bit stoooopid)
The papers are echo park and MME, and the main BG is Kraft...
Sentiment is from The Greeting Farm..
rest from stash....

Do pop over to Sketch Saturday to see the AMAZING samples from the 'Saturdays'
this week we are being sponsored by Stamp Fairy, and some of the girls have made GORGEOUS cards with the super cute Stamp fairy digis...

Catch you later

Now, I havent made a single card for 5 months, so I am a little out of practice... and me being me, decided to return on a rather tricky sketch.... lol!
but all things considered, I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out!

The gorgeous little Cherry bug is from Tiddlyinks (CUTE!)
She's coloured with promarkers
Most of the papers are from the Echo park Happy Days pad
and... did you notice what I used for the 'happy'? yep... the letters from the title on the front of the pad... CLEVER????
stamped 'birthday' below it, not sure where the stamp came fom...oops
added a few buttons, a bow, a bit of enamel accents, and some doodling (boy have I missed doodling!)

Its Sketch Saturday time again...and Jo's come up trumps with another FAB sketch!
I'll be honest, I was dreading this sketch... not sure why...
I'm starting to wonder if I have a problem with symmetry...  (perhaps cos I'm a bit odd! ;))

anyways... in the end I didn't struggle as much as I thought I would... and I quite like the outcome...

Apologies for the rubbish photos, I made this card quite late yesterday... an there was NO light at all!
anyway...
The gorgeous stamp is one of my favourites from The Greeting Farm... Dahlia
I've coloured her with promarkers...
The papers are Echo Park Summer Days and Happy ays Available from Crafty Emmas Store...
The Brackets are a stamp from The Greeting Farm Spotlight set... You can get this fro a fab price at the mo from Quixotic Paperie

The 'You' is part of a sentiment from the greeting farm spotlight set...

To finish I've added some clouds cut from an Echo Park paper, and some doodled 'stems' with heart button 'flowers'

Hiya peoples...
Sorry I'm not posting much at the moment...
As well as trying to get the house back in to 'some sort' of order after the summer holidays... and lots of 'behind the scenes' crafting, I'm also a bit preoccupied with family stuff and my MOJO has taken a bit of a beating...
I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon...
anyhoo... I do have something to share with you today....
Yesterday was my turn to share some inspiration on the Simply Sassy blog... but I was having trouble with blogger, and didn't manage to post on here...
so, a day late...here's a card featuring the SOOOO gorgeous Luv a Latte from Sugar Nellie...

I've coloured her with promarkers and pencils...
The papers are a mix of MME and Prima...
The tabs at the bottom are just circles punched from Kraft, cut in half ...
I've stamped a teeny heart onto each one for a bit of interest... the stamp is from an old elzybells set
(Thanks Jane)
the little swirls are also from this set... and are actually from a hot chocolate mug... I just stamped the bit I wanted...
The 'here for you' is the text from one of the whimsy stamps postage stamps sentiment set...
doodling, flowers, ribbon and enamel accents.... and thats it!

Sketch Saturday #170 Joy with Fluffy Stuff...

Happy Saturday peoples!!
Hope you are all okay?

its time for another YUMMY Sketch Saturday Sketch.... YAY!!
Heres my DT card...

I've used some new stash for this... the super cute Gorjuss stamp, which I got from Quixotic Paperie...
I've stamped her with Rich Cocoa ink, instead of black for a bit of a change...
and coloured with promarkers...
The papers are MME, and Prima.

Can you see the fluffy snow on the tree and the 'ground'???
I was lucky enough to win a £10 Joanna Sheen voucher a couple of weeks ago at the Glitter Geeks challenge
and I bought a snow maker pen... OMG how fun is it watching it puff up!!?
I think I went over the top a bit with it, but I like the effect...
I also bought the scattered text stamp which I've used for the circle background... its by creative expressions.
heres a side view... you can see the 'snow' a bit better I think...

The 'Joy' is alphabet stickers from a crate paper kit
I've cut the lace border with a martha stewart punch....
and to finish added my 'usuals' don't need to say it anymore...lol!

Hope you like??

I do hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!
The weather has been positively glorious here today... hope everyone else is having some sunshine too!?

its my turn to share some inspiration over on the Simply Sassy blog today, and I thought we'd have something different....

a BOY'S card..

 I've used No 1 fan
just look at his cheeky little face!! I LOVE him!!

Did you know he can come and live with you for just £4.29!!!
then you can pinch his little cheeks as much as you like!!

I've coloured him with promarkers and pencils
The papers are all MME, mostly from the same pad, which is unlike me!
The happy birthday sentiment is from a cuddly buddly set, which the lovely Jane bought me
(Thanks Jane!!... yep she is too generous!!)
and the alphabet stickers are crate paper from the orbit collection...

The arrow and the bracket are from the greeting farm spotlight kit... LOL!!! you are so sick of me saying that arent you!!???
I sat this card on my desk last night, and I couldn't help feeling there was just a little bit of something missing....
SO I just cut the little tabs at the top and bottom, and it really made a difference!!

Timeless Tickled Pink Anniversary card...

Hello all!!

Hope you've had a lovely weekend??? hasn't been too bad here weatherwise... although today its a bit sticky... bit too warm in my craft room :(

Today I'm sharing my Hubby's Anniversary card....
Its a month away yet... but I had an idea so went with it while I was inspired...

I love these Tickled Pink Victorian Steampunk images SO much... and thought these 2 were perfect together... I merged them (only a tiny bit) in my graphics program, and enlarged them so they would be the focal point of my card...
You can grab Evie and Luca HERE
I've coloured them with promarkers and pencils...
The Stripy paper is MME and the Blue paper is Prima...
I stamped the border on the blue panel with the stempelglede grunge scroll.
The clock was a freebie DIGI
(at the moment I'm struggling to find the link of where I got it... I will update as soon as I can)
I printed it onto Kraft and attached some black chain to it (this was off an old top!!, I'm all for recycling!)
The heart is handcut from red cardstock, and glazed...
I added a flower to Evies hair... a hand written sentiment, and some doodling and enamel accents....

and thats it!!

Sketch Saturday Sweetness!

Well Hello there! Thanks for visiting me today!!

I hope you are all well, and have a lovely weekend planned??
Nothing planned here, Hubby has been at work virtually non stop over the summer hols, and it looks like he will be busy for at least the next week..... sigh!!

Anyway... onwards with the show...
We all know what Saturday means don't we...
YEP, another FABBY Sketch Saturday Sketch...

I'll be honest, when I looked at this weeks, I thought I was going to struggle, I'm not usually too good at working with 'wonky' sketches... LOL!! but this came together fairly easily...

The Gorgeous 'Some Odd Girl' Stamp was a Birthday pressie from the gorgeous Jane!!
 (Thanks again Jane!! MWAH!)
You would not believe the bad luck I've had with this stamp... I stamped her out a couple of weeks ago, along with others on the same paper, was colouring another image up, and dropped a purple promarker right on her face!!! Then last week stamped her again, and ended up dropping the paper on the floor where the dog had just come in with muddy paws!!
I thought she was just determined she wasn't going on a card!!
Third time lucky though...phew!!
I created a background paper using Kraft card, which I stamped random cupcake images on...
(The cupcake stamp came in a set with the 'you're so sweet' sentiment which Jane bought me for last years Birthday!!! Thanks again Jane!!! I think it was elzybells)
I coloured all the little cupcakes with pencils, and added a few dots of enamel accents...
The other papers are MME from various collections...
except for the black and white dotty strips, which were again made using one of the accessories from the greeting farm spotlight kit.
I stamped another cupcake, coloured with promarkers, and added a little heart on top!
The 'Thanks' sentiment is from CC designs (Amy R summer set)

To finish I added some flowers from my stash, some doodling, and some more enamel accents...

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges....
Simon Says Stamp - Food and Drink
Creative stamp Friends - Create your own background
Hooked on crafts - Sweet treats
The Crafty Pad - Cute and Girly

Thanks so much for visiting!!

A Sassy Hello! And A Simple Cloud Tutorial...

Good Morning all!!How goes it?

Did you see I'd posted a tutorial over on the Simply Sassy blog this morning?

Its on how I create a chalked cloud backgound...
Now I have to say there are MUCH better ones out there, but I wanted to show an EASY version...

Heres a card I've made using the Chalked clouds...

The GORGEOUS Simply Sassy stamp is Hippie Chick
I've coloured her with my usual promarkers and pencils...
The papers are all sorts... MME, Bo Bunny, Echo park, Prima...
I've tried to make it look like she is holding a flower... this was a bit fiddly, I had to pierce holes through the image... think I might have pulled it off though...

I've created some 'grass' for her to sit on with my promarkers... and then doodled 3 flower stems...
I punched some butterflies... and added some doodling and enamel accents....

And that's about it!....

I followed the sketch over at - Crafting Lifes Pieces

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - Just Saying Hi
The Stamp Man - Anything goes (summer colours)
My Mum's Craft Shop - Summer
Flutterby - punches/diecuts

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments and emails you've been sending me!!
I do kind of feel like I've found my mojo at long last!! remember when I was only posting on here once a week!?!?

I'll be back Saturday with my Sketch Saturday card!!

Have a groovy day....All white?

 Two posts in one day???
I know!! I've shocked myself!
Please scroll down for my Simply Sassy Spotlight card...
I was going to save this for tomorrow, but its been made with challenges in mind and I'm so near to the deadline on one of them!!

So... Simon Says Stamp are looking for all white cards... SO not in my comfort zone, but I had to give it a go...

Heres my card... photo is not the best, its difficult enough to capture white cards anyway, but because I've added loads of sparkle, it was SO much worse!!

I have to say, I quite like this card...(it looks SO much better IRL)

The GORGEOUS Stamp is Friday from the Greeting Farm (I got her from Quixotic Paperie)
Isn't she FABULOUS???
I've coloured her with promarkers and pencils...
I created the middle panel with a stamp from the greeting farm spotlight set, and heat embossed it with starlight embossing powder... you can't see the shimmer too well in the photo, but it looks SO cool!
I haven't heat embossed for YEARS, and I forgot how exciting it is watching the powder change...
yeah, I need to get out more!

The sentiment is from CC designs Amy R summer sentiments set...
I added a bit of enamel... cos I just couldn't leave the card as it was!
and added some extra glitter ..... here's a close up...

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges...

Crafters Companion - Glitter and Glitz
Sir Stampalot - Whatever you fancy

It's my turn in the Simply Sassy Spotlight...

Good Morning peoples!!
Blimey its all go on here at the moment eh?
Hope you are not getting fed up with me yet??

Well, today I have some SUPER exciting news... the Simply Sassy Spotlight is shining on little ole me!!
So pop over to see the cards Maria has picked out to show you (arrggghhhh embarrasing!)

As part of the spotlight procedure (sounds a bit medical!)
I had to create a new Sassy card... and HERE it is my friends....

The butterfly came first on this one... I was messing about stamping onto acetate... and I stamped the spotty butterfly from the greeting farm spotlight kit onto it...
(are you sick of seeing me use this kit?... truthfully I don't have a huge amount of stash, so I do tend to use the same stuff over and over, AND theres SO much in it, and I love it...so there!)
The butterfly body is just a pin, with paper wrapped around it, and 2 bits of wire...simples!!

After I made it, I realised how well it would go with the blue spotty paper from the Prima - Moulin Rouge set... so I ran with that....

The GORGEOUS stamp is Butterfly Girl by Simply Sassy... I LOVE her... just look at the expression on her face!! SO adorable!
I coloured her to match the floral paper....
I created the spotty tabs at the bottom, using one of the border strip stamps from the....sigh.....greeting farm spotlight set.... I just stamped it a few times, and then cut tabs from it...
The sentiment stamp is cats life press which you can get from Crafty Emmas Store
I created the cloud background using chalks.... more about this later in the week ;)

doodling (of course) and enamel (of course) and I'm done!

I followed Maria's Sketch over at the Sugar Bowl.... AGAIN!! (and rotated it... again!)

And I'd also like to enter the following challenges...

Crafty Pad - Cute and girly
CES - Mix and match papers
Card Making Mama's - Birthday cards

Thanks for visiting!!
and thanks Maria, for spotlighting me!!
